A modernization of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Rome and Jewel is set in Los Angeles against a backdrop of inter-racial romance and tensions. It tells a story of jealousy, betrayal and murder between the teenage groups and their families and the effect on the love two people can share with one another.
